NEEDLES & GAUGE:
The pattern works with ANY type/format needles (it is not worked in the round).
I like using rounds with a longer cable as this grows every other row, but honestly,
I use whatever I have handy at the time.
SHAWL uses US 04’s/3.5mm,
gauge in STOCKING KNIT, before BLOCKING=
24 sts to 4” and
38 Rows to 4”
SIZE:
This shawl is primarily knit in GARTER. It will look smaller and block bigger, depending on how hard you block it.
BLOCKED SHAWL Size Knitted piece is 90” wide & 42” tall. (center)
NOTIONS:
60 Stitch Markers to mark center stitch and for final short row section.
Removable marker to indicate right side.
Needle or hook to tuck your ends.
