NEEDLES & GAUGE:
Since this piece is worked LENGTHWISE, you want round/circular needles with a cable close in length to the size you are making. If you do not have that, your work will be bunched up, but fine.
SHORT uses US 09’s/5.5mm in STOCKING KNIT & the short row pattern, before BLOCKING. 18 sts to 4” and 24 Rows to 4”
OTHERS use US 07’s/4.5mm in STOCKING KNIT & the short row pattern, before BLOCKING. 22 sts to 4” and 28 Rows to 4”
SIZES:
Sizes are impacted by both needle size AND blocking. With these ‘odd-ball’ short rows, a hard block helps to flatten out the shapes. I find it necessary to give this a ‘good & hard’ block. Width measured at widest points.
